Agbornews.com is looking for a Community Correspondent to help report grassroots stories, events, and everyday realities of people living in Agbor and Ogbemudein. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about community development, storytelling, and local journalism.
📋 Responsibilities
- Report daily happenings, events, and breaking news within Agbor and Ogbemudein
- Conduct interviews with community leaders, youths, traders, and residents
- Submit written news articles, photos, or short videos
- Attend community meetings, events, and gatherings when required
- Uphold ethical journalism and fact-checking standards
🎓 Requirements
- Minimum of SSCE (OND/HND/Degree is an added advantage)
- Good written and spoken English
- Familiarity with Agbor, Ogbemudein, and surrounding communities
- Ability to use a smartphone for reporting
- Strong sense of responsibility and integrity
⭐ Preferred Skills (Optional)
- Previous writing, blogging, or reporting experience
- Basic photography or video recording skills
- Social media awareness (Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram)
- Ability to meet deadlines
💰 Compensation & Benefits
Pay:
- ₦40,000 – ₦80,000 monthly (based on output and performance)
